Cascais-Guincho-Areia Hike

This is a 20km hike along the coast in Cascais to Guincho and returning via the interior, passing various forts. There will be an opportunity for lunch roughly half way in Areia and drinks after we finish the hike.

Corrida Do Tejo Run

This is a 10km run organised by the city of Oeiras along the coast of the Tejo. Not strictly hiking, but great scenery if you enjoy running for a change with drinks afterwards 🙂

Sesimbra (including Ribeira do Cavalo Beach)

From Sesimbra looping through the mountains to the west via the Castelo de Sesimbra to Portugal's "most beautiful beach", the Ribeira do Cavalo Beach. This is a medium level fitness walk and requires walking in some rough terrain and some steep hills. Please bring some lunch and water. We will take the TST bus from Praça de Espanha to Sesimbra. We will meet at the TST ticket booth.

Mafra to Eiriceira Hike

This is a 12km hike starting at the Convent of Mafra and leading out to the seaside resort of Ericeira. We meet in Lisbon to take the bus from Campo Grande to Mafra. In Mafra we can briefly visit the convent. From there, the hike will take us through the more mountainous countryside parths towards the sea side, passing the Fortress of Zambujal on the way.
